Parks & Recreation

The City of Taylor is proud to boast its expansive park system, with all its amenities including swimming pools, walking trails, lakes, basketball courts, playgrounds and more!

New projects are under construction, including a skate park at Porter and 3rd streets, and redesign of downtown's Heritage Square Park at the corner of Main and 4th streets. Both are sure to be exciting new amenities for citizens and visitors.

The Main Street Trail that runs from the south side of the city to the north, up to Taylor Regional Sports Complex, was completed in April 2017. It's a scenic walk or bike trail for all to enjoy.

Three new pickleball courts have been installed at Murphy Park, 1600 Veteran Dr., at the tennis center, opened in November 2017. In April 2018, new lights were installed at the courts. In May 2018, the tennis courts were resurfaced.
