City of Taylor Employee Benefits 

  • Medical Plan – The City pays for employee only coverage.  Employees may sign up for spouse, children or family at the employee’s expense.  Eligibility –30+ hours/ week.
  • Dental Plan - The City pays for employee only coverage.  Employees may sign up for spouse children or family at the employee’s expense. Eligibility –30+ hours/ week.
  • Vision Plan - The City pays for employee only coverage.  Employees may sign up for spouse children or family at the employee’s expense. Eligibility –30+ hours/ week.
  • Basic Life and AD&D - The City pays for employee coverage. Eligibility – 30+ hours/ week.
  • Long Term Disability – The City pays for employee coverage. Eligibility – 30+ hours/ week.
  • Optional additional benefits –Additional voluntary benefits include deferred compensation, supplemental health, voluntary life, legal and identify theft protection at the employee’s cost.

Retirement

  • Texas Municipal Retirement System  The City and employee contribute.  Eligibility –1000 hours/year (19 hrs/ wk).
