Brian LaBorde joined the staff as City Manager on May 27, 2019.
Mr. LaBorde holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University. He is a graduate of Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs Public Executive Institute and is currently completing his certification from the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute. He is a past President of the Texas City Manager Association (TCMA) Region 7 and has served on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Technical Advisory Committee.
The City Manager's Office handles the general administration of the City and executes the policies and objectives of the City Council. The Interim City Manager is directly responsible to the Mayor and City Council and oversees the day-to-day operation of the City by coordinating all City Department activities and functions.
