January 2: New Year's Observed.  City offices and Library Closed. Garbage services not affected.

January 16:  Martin Luther King, Jr. Observed. City Offices closed.  March starts at Robinson Park followed by program at City Hall.


February 9:  Victorian Valentine Gala at the Moody Museum. 4-8pm.  Tickets are $25.  Call 512-365-7396 for more information or tickets.

February 20: President's Day, City offices closed.


March 2:  Taylor Growth Summit is being held at the Williamson County Expo Center.


April 7:  Relay for Life; 6 pm - midnight at Memorial Stadium in Murphy Park.  Call 800-227-2345 for more information. 

April 15:  Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 am at Heritage Square. Children will be divided into 2 age groups, ages 1 through 3; ages 4 though 6. One parent or adult must accompany each child. For more information call or e-mail Deby Lannen at 512-352-3463.

April 22:  Citywide Spring Clean Up sponsored by the City of Taylor Public Works Department starts at 8:00 am –3:00 pm with 2 drop off locations: 1424 N Main at Public Works Department and Welch Street. Free to all residents who must show proof of city residency. 


May through October:  Taylor Area Farmer's Market Local area farmers sell fresh produce at corner of 5th and Main St. every Monday and Friday afternoon from 3pm to 6pm.

May 6:  Taylor Blackland Prairie Days Live talent, food, arts & crafts, children’s activities in downtown Taylor beginning at 10:00 am. Contact Deby Lannen at 512-352-3463 or deby.lannen@taylortx.gov for more information.

May TBD:  Taylor Lions Club Crawfish Boil at Murphy Park Pavilion from 5-9 pm.  Visit their website for details. 

May 27:  City of Taylor swimming pools, Murphy Park Aquatic Center and Robinson Pool, open for the summer.

June 3: Stomp 'n Holler Barbecue and Music Festival includes live music and barbecue from pitmasters across the globe.  For ticket  and event information visit http://www.taylorchamber.org/.

June 9:  Movies in the Square, Join us at Heritage Square for a family friendly movie at dusk.  Bring your picnic blanket and some snacks for some free summer fun.


July 4:  Taylor Independence Day Festival held at Murphy Park. Tennis tournament. TIF Fireworks at dark.  City Offices closed. Garbage services NOT affected.

August 26: KidFish at Bull Branch Park. Registration begins at 8:30 am and fishing starts at 9 am. Free to children under age 16.


September 4
: Labor Day Holiday City offices closed. Garbage services NOT affected.

September 11: 9/11 Parade and Program. This event is sponsored by the Taylor Fire Department. Contact Matthew Whisenant for more information.

September  9: The "Sky's the Limit" Fly a Kite Day. Registration begins at 9 am; event starts at 10 am; judging at 2 pm. Food; prizes, fun! Taylor Regional Park, 210 Carlos Parker Blvd. Call 512-365-7669 for more information as a participant, sponsor, or vendor.

September 23: 2017 Business Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center presented by the Taylor Chamber of Commerce.

City Wide Fall Clean Up, 8am-3pm.

November 23-24: Thanksgiving Holidays, City offices closed; NO garbage pickup on Thursday (moved to Friday) and Friday pickup moved to Saturday.

December 2:  Victorian Christmas at the Moody Museum, 114 W. 9th, 2-4:00 pm.  

December 2: Main Street Christmas Bazaar from 10-4pm at the TISD Main Streets Event Ctr, 3101 N. Main. Contact Deby Lannen at 512-352-3463 for more information on the Bazaar.

December 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 22:  Santa on the Square, 6:30-8:30pm.  Meet Santa and Mrs. Clause in Heritage Square in the Santa Hut.  Bring a camera!

December 25-26: Holiday Observed, City offices closed. NO garbage service on Christmas Day; Monday pickup moved to Tuesday; all other days moved one day late.
